This week I found this gorgeous hardbound book that uses a Coptic stitch. It is made of cardstock, polymer clay and found objects.
There is something so charming about the way this book uses upcycled materials to make a new journal look so genuinely aged. Also lovely is the symmetry of the signatures, which allows for a clever visual quirk.
Seeing this and other books using Coptic stitch during my search this week, I hope that we will learn this method during the semester. I may try to figure it out on my own if we do not.
